Simply put the Internet of Things is the concept of basically connecting any device to the Internet. The new rule for the future is going to be, “anything that can be connected, will be connected.” Ubiquitous connectivity coupled with low power embedded computing devices and smart sensors can enable the generation of massive amount of data which can then be analysed either on the cloud or on the edge to provide timely actionable insights that has never been possible before.
